it's a boy!

our baby boy is here! sawyer alan decided to make his arrival a little early -- in time to see the snow in charlotte! -- and showed up friday, january 29th. i told jered i was having contractions all day... got to the hospital and it turned out i was right! i was in full-out labor and the doctor was quick with getting things going. c-section happened and our surprise sex baby was born at 6:37 pm, weighing in at 7 pounds 11 ounces and 21 inches tall. we're all at home now and doing great (and big sister and sonny are adjusting quite well).

here is it... my 38-week belly in all its glory. i forgot to take a picture at 36 weeks and then i just didn't want to take any pictures. but i had a request from my mama since she doesn't get to see me all pregnant. so here it is. only 5 days left!

here's a few pictures of hadleigh playing dress-up a few weeks ago... she got this fairy princess outfit for christmas. so far, this is the only time we've got her in the complete get-up. however, she is a big fan of the wand. she likes to tap everything with the wand and say "poof"!

jingle bells.

hadleigh's kid's day out program had their christmas play today. the big kids performed a skit and the younger kids sat in front. they were supposed to ring bells during the songs. hadleigh preferred to chew on her bells...

then turn around to watch what the big kids were doing behind her...

then eventually just turn all the way around so she could see the show...

but she looked really cute doing it. :)

only a short time left until we meet our little one! c-section is officially scheduled for february 1st, so we will definitely see kiddo and find out "baby two" is a he or she that day, if not sooner!
